Saxophone
Hi, I’m Tania Zountsa, a Greek saxophonist, composer, improviser, and passionate saxophone teacher.
I love helping students of all ages and levels discover the joy of playing the saxophone. Whether you’re into jazz, soul, blues, pop, or classical music, we’ll explore the repertoire that inspires you most.
Beginners learn their first tunes right away, focusing on sound, breath control, posture, rhythm, and ear training — always through a fun, hands-on approach.
For children (usually from age eight), I offer playful and engaging lessons using games, movement, and familiar songs to make learning exciting and motivating. The alto or soprano saxophone are ideal for young beginners.
For advanced students, we focus on tone development, phrasing, music theory, harmony, and improvisation in jazz, blues, and beyond. Lessons are tailored to your personal goals, style, and artistic expression.
A trial lesson is a great way to start! We’ll discuss your goals, hear you play, and create a plan to help you grow as a musician.
My musical journey began with the guitar and classical double bass studies at the State Conservatory of Greece, before I fell in love with the saxophone. After further studies in Brussels and at the HKU Conservatory in the Netherlands, I’ve performed across Europe, led my ensemble Singularity Point, and released my debut album AWAKE (2022) and Assemblages of The Self (2026), a work that further explores my musical language through contemporary jazz and personal expression.
My compositions blend contemporary jazz with ancient Greek influences, reflecting my passion for improvisation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, I’d love to help you develop your sound, confidence, and creativity.
